Pike
The pike (Esox lucius) is a fish from the family Esocidae. It has a cylindrical body and is a large predator. Its cylindrical body ends with a characteristic head, wide and flattened, resembling a duck's beak. Its jaw is equipped with about 700 teeth, tilted inwards. Eyes, located on the top of the head, provide it with a wide field of vision. The dorsal fin, located on the top of the rear part of the body, serves it for a powerful thrust when it decides to attack prey! Pores on the head, located on both lower jaws connected to the lateral line, allow the pike to sense even the slightest vibration from a great distance. The colors of its body are suitable for perfect camouflage: the back, dark green fading into black, streaked with lighter stripes, while the sides are greenish, and the belly is white.
